I think that it is so valuable to be sure that you marry your best friend. I think that some of the best marriages are when the spouses truly consider each other to be their best friend! When I consider a best friend, I think of someone who knows everything about me, better than anyone else, and who loves me, undoubtedly- regardless of any shortcomings or flaws.
My parents were friends before they ever considered dating. They strengthened their friendship by loving and supporting each other. It didn't take very long for them to grow in love with each other. Ever since then, they have been best friends.
I love the idea of being married to my best friend for eternity. It sounds like endless love and laughter.
